Question:  i work for a popular retail store.out of all the employees that work there me , and the security guard are the only one that are african american, and everyone one else is spanish.its like when a spanish person ask for a job application they get it , but when a caucasian person or an african american ask for an application they say they not hiring.one day a african american person and a spanish person came in at the same time and ask for an application, the manager gave the spanish person the application and told the african american person to come back in a month to get an application cause he didn’t have any more. i felted bad because i know my manager was a liar because we have a big box full of application. one day a caucasian girl came in and ask for a application , and he told her we are not going to be hiring no time soon, but when a spanish person came in right behind her he gave him an application. the only reason why i was hire was because my spanish friend that work there had to beg him too hire me ,and she feel the same way i feel. is that discrimination or im over exaggerating.  is that discrimination?

Answer:  Hell YES that’s racial discrimination and it should be reported ASAP!  Race discrimination involves treating someone (an applicant or employee) unfavorably because he/she is of a certain race or because of personal characteristics associated with race (such as hair texture, skin color, or certain facial features). Color discrimination involves treating someone unfavorably because of skin color complexion. http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/types/race_color.cfm

Here’s how to file a racial discrimination claim with the EEOC.
